mwbwSaikaidō (mwca西海道mwcq?, letteralmente, "circuito del mare occidentale" o "regione del mare occidentale") è un termine geografico giapponesecite-ref-1[1]. Indica sia un'antica divisione del paese sia la strada principale che l'attraversa.cite-ref-2[2] Il Saikaido era uno dei circuiti principali del sistema mwegGokishichidō, che fu originariamente istituito durante il mwewperiodo Asuka.

Questo nome identificava la regione geografica del mwfqKyūshū e le isole di mwfgTsushima e mwfwIki. Consisteva di nove antiche province e due isole. Le province includevano mwgaChikuzen, mwgqChikugo, mwggBuzen, mwgwBungo, mwhaHizen, mwhqHigo, mwhgHyūga, mwhwSatsuma e mwiaŌsumi.
